Question 1-Overview of Healthcare Quality

·         Identify and define (in your own words) the six aims from Crossing the Quality Chasm.

o   What acronym is used to describe theses aims?

·         Using the six aims, describe a healthcare experience, either personal, family or friend in which you can compare and contrast if the six aims were achieved or not.

Question 2-History and the Quality Landscape

·         Identify ALL five Quality improvement models.

·         Compare and contrast the models.

·         Using the PDSA Model, provide an example how this is used in your current work environment.

Question 3-Variation in Medical Practice and Implications for Quality

·         What is the difference between quality improvement methods/models and quality improvement tools?

·         Identify multiple quality improvement tools.

o   Discuss how you would select the best tool to use in a quality improvement project.

Requirements:

·         A minimum of four (4) pages or 1000-1500 words excluding the title page and references is required.

·         Use APA format.

·         Times New Roman 12 pt font, double spaced with 1" margins.

·         Title and reference pages are required.

·         An abstract is not required.

·         Use support from at least three reputable sources (other than course materials) written within the last five years.
