15.3 Second Informational Interview Reflection

Now is the time for you to submit the results of your second informational interview. You will write a 3–page paper in the style of a “news report” in which you address the following:

·         Name, title, and location of professional

·         Questions asked and responses in narrative form

·         What did you learn about the individual?

·         What impressions did you have from the interview (not just the individual)?

·         How have you followed up with the professional?

·         What did you learn from the entire experience? What are your key takeaways from the experience?

·         Compare and contrast both informational interview experiences:

o    Were you more comfortable in the first informational interview or the second? Explain.

o    What were some differences in the professionals’ responses?

Submit your “news report” in a Word document. Remember to include your full name on the document.

SCORING GUIDE

Credit for this assignment is based on your interpretation and reporting of the informational interview (questions), but also in detailing what you learned and took away from the experience and how the second informational interview compared with the first. You must address all requirement components listed above.
