As Chatfield discussed in the video you just saw, we think uncritically when "we take things at face value, without pausing to consider whether this is sensible or justified."

In this forum, I would like you to describe an episode in your life where you could have used more critical thinking.

Explain how the outcome of the episode would have (beware of spelling it would of!) been different if you had stopped to think rationally about the issue.

After you publish your answer, you will be able to see your classmates comments. Take the time to read them. I am sure you will learn some useful lessons!

Posting once is mandatory; responding to somebody else's post is optional. You will not get extra credit if you post more than once, but your classmates will certainly appreciate your encouragement and feedback.

Two caveats:

·         Do not talk about school assignments you did not complete successfully, but about something that actually happened in your life.

·         Do not talk about something you did when you were a child, either. Nobody expects children to think critically, since their brains are not fully developed.
