The demand for care is increasing exponentially thanks to a growing consumer base, an aging population, health disparities, and a changing marketplace. At the same time, the supply of adequate care is insufficient. Healthcare costs for consumers have steadily risen, and patients are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the care they're receiving.

·         Explain the concept of supply and demand and provide an example related to health care.

o    Factor in the inequities of supply and demand, i.e. are there disparities based upon age, sex, socio-economical status? 

o    Discuss regional disparities in regards to the supply, demand, access, and costs, i.e. Washington State versus Louisianna.
