This assignment requires you to participate in Psychology Research at SF State. For this module, complete 1 of the options listed below then complete the Quiz task. This experience will provide you a greater understanding of the work being conducted within the department. 

Option 1 - Participate in Dr. E's Online Study "Interviews and Creative Expression" 

• You will participate in a creativity task via Zoom. These creativity tasks are often described as fun, but also commonly used to predict future creative job performance. Your participation will help evaluate potential job interview questions and feedback about your performance will be provided. Participants will schedule a Zoom appointment with a Research Assistant using the schedule link below. Your participation will be recorded. The meeting will take 30 minutes.

• Eligibility: You must be have access to computing device with Zoom (audio and video enabled). A computer is ideal, but a smartphone or tablet will also work. 

• If the appointments before the due date are full, then sign up for a later date. An extension is allowed if you are signed up (and attend) an appointment at later date.

What to submit in the Quiz:

• You will be asked to attach verification that you participated in the study. This will be provided to you via email after completing the study.

Option 2 - Participate in SF State SONA Research

• You will serve as participant in research studies through the SONA sign-up system. Each study is assigned a certain number of SONA credits based on time required (1 credit = 1 hour of work). You are required to complete at least 3.0 SONA credits (approximately 3 hours of participation). 

• Here is information about how to sign up for SONA studies and frequently asked questions: https://psychology.sfsu.edu/SONA

• More SONA studies and time slots will be added as the semester progresses.

• Unexcused absences (no shows) from a scheduled study will result in an addition of 0.5 credits to this requirement (In other words, if you sign up for a study and no-show, you must complete 3.5 hours to complete the assignment).

• Credits must be assigned to this course and not used for other courses. SONA will provide you a participation summary showing the number of credits earned and the course you assigned them to. 

What to submit in the Quiz:

• You will be asked to provide a screen shot or copy of your SONA participation summary page. This document must show that you assigned 3 SONA credits to this course.

Option 3 - Literature Review

• You may complete the Literature Review alternative If you are unable or unwilling to complete the prior options. The literature review requires a written summary of 3 research readings. The reading options (pick 3 of the 5 provided) are provided in the iLearn Module. The readings are publications by SF State Professors. 

What to submit in the Quiz:

• You will be asked to attach a literature review for each of the three papers you selected to review. For each reading, summarize the paper (e.g., findings, method, topic) and describe how it is related to your interests. Do not copy the abstract or provide quotations. The minimum length for each reading review is 500 words (1500 words total).
