HRM 5112 Week 1 Discussion 1

Identifying Personal Learning Styles

Read the Discussion Participation Scoring Guide to learn how the instructor will evaluate your discussion participation throughout this course. Your post should be well thought out and realistic. Completing this activity will help you get a strong start in preparing for and passing your selected aPHR, PHR, or SPHR examination.

The learning style inventory you completed in this unit can help you identify the best ways to study, retain, and prepare for your examination. Using the results, respond to the following:

·         Identify potential distracting locations in the home or elsewhere that could keep you from studying well.

·         Discuss approaches or reinforcement techniques for learning and retaining content and vocabulary.

·         Describe test-taking techniques you have found helpful in your preparation.

·         Consider when you might study best. What are your most productive times of the day? Many people believe that only large blocks of study time are productive. This is not always the case, as short bursts of 30 minutes to an hour can be just as helpful as a solid two-hour block.

Use proper APA style and formatting when appropriate.
