·         Select a company of your choice to use when you construct your 10 minute Power Point Presentation that outlines how the company can benefit by using the combination of various types of social media and big data.

·          You have several resources available:

o    Week 6 Lesson

o    Textbook (Chapter 13, Big Data and Social Computing and Chapter 15 Building Business Intelligence)

o    Ideas and links that are shared in the Week 6 Discussion Thread. 

·         Use the assignment's rubric as guidelines for creating your presentation.

o    Note that your Presentation must contain your audio narration

PowerPoint Best Practices:

·         Select a slide theme 

·         Keep the slides simple, do not spend time on creating animations except where you think it will add to the presentation (no points are awarded for adding animations)

·         Relevant graphic or pictures are acceptable (cite your source – if you did not create it yourself)

·         Use Bullet points (points will be deducted for 'cut and paste' paragraphs or very long sentences).  The bullet points are talking points to trigger your discussion and provide a visual for the audience.  The audience should not be spending their time reading your slide, the audience should be listening to what you have to say.

·         Spell check your slides

·         Add audio discussion to your slides - your presentation should sound as though you are talking to us not sound as though you are reading from a teleprompter.
