Purpose
To assess your ability to:
•	Identify the (inductive) Fallacy of Generalizing from Incomplete Information
•	Identify the (inductive) Fallacy of Overlooking Alternatives
•	Identify the (deductive) Fallacy of Affirming the Consequent
•	Identify the (deductive) Fallacy of Denying the Antecedent
•	Analyze inductive fallacies
•	Analyze deductive fallacies

Action Items
1.	Carefully read the Key Points in Week 4 Overview.
2.	Use the internet, newspaper, or magazine sources to locate appropriate examples that present the four types of fallacies. The example could be a cartoon, an article, or advertisement. As an alternative, you may also construct your own examples.
3.	Analyze the fallacies by following the forms provided in the Key Points section. Write out the basic (or general) form first, then your analysis.
4.	Provide a copy of the example you found. You will need to attach your examples with your Word document. You may use any of the following methods to attach your examples:
•	copy and paste what you found over the Internet to your Word document.
•	use Print Screen (PrtSc button) to take a screen shot of the example and then copy into your Word document.
•	scan the example as an image file (file extension needs to be .jpg), and insert the image in your Word document.

5.	List the references in APA style in your Word document.
