Given the economic and energy crises that began soon after 9/11 and continue to the present day, the United States is facing its most critical transportation issues in over 30 years. Growing rapidly in the late 1990s and early 2000s, transportation has since reached its peak and is now declining and in serious trouble, according to many experts.
