A structured innovation process is important to enable innovation because creativity can flourish. When there is structure, there will be a likelihood that innovation will succeed. Success is possible because there is more of a focus on the innovation process. In the beginning, there is a starting point. From there, one can work on finalizing an innovative idea. In an organization, there are individuals that focus on specific areas. When members of an organization focus on certain areas, there will be a favorable result. When you direct participants to focus on specific areas of your business, and you’re clear about the constraints that need to be met in order to get an idea approved, you’re more likely to get relevant ideas that you can take action on (Shimansky, 2015). If a structured innovation process is defined, individuals can bring forth strong ideas. In addition, there can be identification of a feasible idea.
