People, eras, and events covered in this class also influenced today- world. But what if certain people, events, and eras were different? How would the outcome have been different? Speculate.
 
Select one person, event, or era—excluding the barbarians—that had the most significant effect on the world today. Address the following:
•	Describe the person, era, or event and explain its significance
•	How did your chosen person, event, or era change the course of history?
•	How did your chosen person, event, or era affect today- world?
•	How might the effect have changed if the person, event, or era was different?
