Preparing for Employee and Labor Relations Exam

For this discussion, let us further consider how your preparation process is contributing to you successfully negotiating the aPHR, PHR, and SPHR examinations.

The area of Employee and Labor Relations has a number of legislative-related knowledge sources, which include actual legislation and federal agencies. Understanding the relationships among these is essential. It is recommended you take notes as your work through the material in this unit and arrange the information using your own structure to reinforce retention. This level of detail can reinforce complex and, at times, confusing material in a manner that is more easily distinguished and remembered. It should be noted that the vast majority of learners and examination candidates will have limited knowledge and exposure in this area. Learners are reminded that examination certification material is selected by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and not Capella University.
