Since this is the first week, I would like to take the opportunity to get to know you a little better. So, please tell me know little about yourself.
What is your area of study?

Tell me a little about your background, experience, and feelings in regards to math.
Tell me any other information that you would like to share (where you’re from, about your family, etc.)
For example, here- mine:
I have spent the majority of my academic career studying math and plan to continue studying math and math education. I am currently a math instructor and private tutor. I enjoy teaching people math. I plan to continue in both of these professions and would also like to pursue curriculum development. I personally love math. My favorite area of math is a field called Number Theory. I enjoy exploring questions like, can every even number be written as the sum of two prime numbers?
I was born in northern Louisiana. We spent 6 years in Charleston, S.C. when I was a kid, and then moved back to where I was born when I was 10. I went to college in Shreveport, LA. After graduating from Centenary College, I spent two years working in Shreveport at a retirement benefits/actuarial firm. Then, I moved to Dallas, TX to attend graduate school. I currently live in Southern California, and I have a hyper chihuahua/terrier mix.
