Assignment: Final Paper 
The Final Paper should demonstrate understanding of the reading assignments as well as the implications of new knowledge. The eight-page paper should integrate readings and class discussions into work and life experience. It may include explanation and examples from previous experience as well as implications for future application. 
The purpose of the Final Paper is for you to culminate the learning achieved in the course by describing your understanding and application of knowledge of marketing in organizations. 
Focus of the Final Paper 
Principles of marketing need to be understood by managers in order to develop and implement effective marketing practices. But the principles are only effective when applied with a consideration of the social, psychological, ethical, and political influences that impact a market. Select a specific product or industry and develop a paper demonstrating your ability to apply the concepts covered in class and analyze the issues affecting the particular market. 
Writing the Final Paper 
The Paper: 
Must be eight-pages, double-spaced (excluding the title page, reference page, exhibits, etc.) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in your approved APA style guide. 
Must include a cover page: 
Title of paper 
Student- name 
Course name and number 
Instructor- name 
Date submitted 
Must include an introductory paragraph that clearly defines the topic of interest. 
Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought. 
Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis or topic and a closing paragraph that summarizes the main point or points of your paper. 
Must use a minimum of five references beyond the course text. 
Must use APA style as outlined in your approved APA style guide to document all sources. 
Must include, on the final page, a Reference List that is completed according to APA style as outlined in your approved APA style guide. 
 
Grading Criteria Final Paper 
30 percent possible 
Content Criteria 	Weight 
The paper is a culmination the learning achieved in the course and describes your understanding and application of knowledge in the field of marketing. 	5 
The paper focuses on real life, real time application of topics covered in this course; the uses you have seen and the uses you can envision. 	4 
The paper identifies the main issues in the chosen area. 	5 
The paper builds upon class activities or incidents that facilitated learning and understanding. 	5 
The paper presents specific current and/or future applications and relevance to the typical workplace. 	5 
Writing Skills 
Ideas are expressed in complete sentences. 	1 
The paper includes a clearly identifiable thesis statement that indicates the topic of the essay. 	1 
Paragraph and sentence transitions are present, logical and maintain the flow throughout the paper. 	1 
Research Criteria 
The paper references at least five scholarly resources. 	1 
Style Criteria 
Must include a cover page that includes:
