Assignment

Analyze the elements of the The Global Compact for consistency and congruency with the topics of this course.  

At the World Economic Forum, held in Davos, on 31 January 1999, UN 
Secretary-General Kofi A. Annan challenged world business leaders to "embrace 
and enact" the Global Compact, both in their individual corporate practices 
and by supporting appropriate public policies. These principles cover topics 
in human rights, labor and environment.  In addition at the 2009 World 
Economic Forum Annual Meeting, the principle message was that leaders must 
continue to develop a swift and coordinated policy response to the most 
serious global recession since the 1930s.
