Part 1 Informational Interviews Are Courtesy Visits To Investigate And Obtain Information about a career. They are not job interviews; however, informational interviews may create a valuable connection that may lead to a job. Proper etiquette for an informational interview is to avoid overt requests for a job. Do the following in preparation for conducting an informational interview:

•	Create a list of contacts you have who could be helpful in job networking. Consider your relationship to them (friend, CTU alumni, professor referral, etc.).
•	Prepare a list of questions to use during an informational interview. Refer to Web resources for information on how to prepare and sample questions to ask.
•	Conduct an informational interview with a professional who works in one of your targeted careers.
Part 2: 
•	Write a 2-3 page paper on the person you interviewed. 
o	You should keep the individual- name and company name confidential, but include the job title and a detailed description of the roles, responsibilities and background on the person you interviewed.
o	Include a summary of the questions you asked and the answers given.
o	Summarize what you learned from this interview and how it may impact your career choice and career planning process
