DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Organizational Behavior
You are to write a 5-7 page paper (not including title and reference pages) in proper APA (6th edition) format. For your paper, you will discuss how to create a manager development program within your current organization (or previous organization if you are not currently employed). Ensure you address the following topics in your paper:

• Discuss the mission or function(s) of your current organization 
• What is the current model for management development? 
• What is wrong with the current model? 
• How will you select personnel for the management pipeline (outside company, internal, combination, etc)? 
o Be specific (do not just say, “We will pick talented people”) 
• What kind of initial training will you have? 
• What kind of continuing training will you have? 
• Will you have different tracks based on functional areas within your organization? 
• How will you evaluate your personnel? 
o Look at how your organization currently evaluates managers. Is that effective (based on what you’ve learned in this course)? 
o Give specific criteria you will evaluate. Why did you choose these? 
• How would you implement the process? Would you grandfather current managers into the program? What are the advantages and disadvantages of grandfathering? 
• How much would your training program cost (you will have to do some research on this)? 

The student must be able to compare/contrast, analyze/evaluate, synthesize information, and prepare well-written documentation of their findings and conclusions. The paper must clearly demonstrate the student- ability to accomplish this.
