Week 1 DQ 1
Explain the elements of project management and its relationship to human resource management.
From the elements listed above, rank the elements in order of importance. Justify your rankings.
Week 1 DQ 2
Evaluate the importance of understanding the various stages of the project life cycle and its possible contributions to a project. 
Apply the project life cycle to a personal project (formal or informal, past or present) demonstrating the various stages.
Week 3 DQ 1
Dissect the elements of a project charter, explaining the importance of each element. 
Imagine your manager is putting pressure on you to get a project started and feels the project charter can be developed as the project gets underway. Develop a brief response to his or her request.
Week 3 DQ 2
Evaluate at least two project charter templates and describe what you did or did not like about each. Include the website URL where each template was found. Be sure to discuss what value you think the charter would bring to a project. 
Assess which of the two would be more useful and explain why.
Week 4 DQ 1
Justify the influence of stakeholders in the project management plan and their role in communication planning. Anticipate the issues that will arrive in the event of limited stakeholder involvement and how you would overcome these obstacles.
Week 4 DQ 2
Compare and contrast the communication methods used to manage a virtual team as opposed to a face-to-face team. Also, discuss the challenges of communication often faced with each type of team. 
Support your comparison with a personal project (formal or informal) and apply your experience with communication during the project to justify your opinion.
Week 7 DQ 1
Justify the time it takes to put together a budget for a human resource project. 
Support your justification by creating a hypothetical example of a human resource project. Relate specific elements of your example to support your justification
Week 7 DQ 2
Rank risk management in importance among the previous planning elements of budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, WBS and scope planning. Justify the ranking. 
Create a scenario where the value of risk management would be minimal. Explain why.
Week 8 DQ 1
Imagine your company is being used to subcontract the management of a project. However, you find that you must first convince the contracting company that your company is worthy of the position. Design a plan that centers on TQM and the contracting company- increasing concern for a quality product. Be sure to address at least the following concerns:
•What precautions are being implemented to ensure a quality project? 
•How do you plan on ensuring stakeholder satisfaction? 
•What methods of quality assurance do you offer? 
•Do you offer quality control, if so how is it implemented?
Week 9 DQ 1
Evaluate how supply chain management affects the process of project management. 
Your current company has decided to enhance their IT department. Compare and contrast the reasons to hire new employees versus outsourcing the additional work.
Week 9 DQ 2
Give your opinion on these three approaches (goal setting, praise, and reprimand) of an employee. Assess how these are or are not applicable to a team setting, and whether this is still pertinent in today- workforce.
