Discussion: Soft Versus Hard Power and Who Has It
Discuss power within global politics. Your
initial post should explain the difference between soft and hard power and
describe how each is used to resolve global conflicts.
When responding to your classmates’ posts,
critique another classmate’s discussion on power within global politics. The
critique should include one evaluation of another student’s analysis of how
power is defined and used within the global political context. In your
critique, write an evaluation that includes the following: 1) a summary of your
classmate’s discussion, 2) strengths and weaknesses of your classmate’s
arguments, and 3) recommendations to improve the argument. The two replies to
other posts can be a response either to a question about your analysis or to
the classmate whose work you reviewed.
