Critical Thinking Reflection

Part I:

Select one of the following questions and answer it in a minimum of 200 to 300 words using the principles of critical thinking you learned in this course.

• How can we reduce poverty in the United States?
• Will receiving a college degree improve your career opportunities?
• Has the United States peaked as a world power?

~ Choose 1 of the 3 topics provided in the first part of the assignment instructions. In a minimum of 200-300 words, answer the question you chose using some of the principles and concepts that you have learned in this class. (It REALLY might be a good idea to do a little research and find some facts to support your opinions and include them when answering the question! Remember the importance of using credible and reliable sources.) 

Part II:

Reflect in a minimum of 200 to 300 words on the process of critical thinking you used in forming your response. Include the following in your reflection: 

• How does the process of critical thinking you used relate to or differ from the process you used to find content for your answer?
• How can you use critical thinking in other areas?
• What steps can you take to ensure that you continue to use critical thinking in the future?

After completing Part I, address each of the questions in Part II of the assignment instructions. When explaining how your critical thinking process was similar or different than the thinking process to find content, do not just continue to elaborate on your opinions in response to the question you chose above. Discuss the thinking process behind your response to the question. What skills have you learned that you utilized?
