Myths help cultures understand how and when they started and myths also
define the purpose or mission a particular culture in the world. For this
discussion, select one of the following Neolithic cultures you learned about
during this week’s lesson:

The myth of the San people of Zimbabwe.
·
The creation myth of the Maidu tribe of California.
·
The emergence tale of the Pueblo.
·
The creation story of ancient Japan.
Now, discuss the impact of myths within that chosen culture. What did
the myth mean for the people living in that chosen culture (how did culture
start?) and did it make you think about your own culture differently?
