6-2 Final Project Milestone Four: Research Methods

Instructions

Submit an analysis and evaluation of current methodological approaches used to solve the global policy issue that you have selected. The paper should analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the current methods used to solve the issue. The paper should also evaluate the methods and present an argument as to which method is the most effective in addressing the selected issue. This assignment should be submitted in the form of a one- to two-page paper.

Overview: The final project for this course is the creation of a policy brief, which scholars often draft for think tanks and research institutes with the goal of shaping policy decisions. (See the Final Project Document for more information.) In this milestone, due in Module Six, you will submit an analysis and evaluation of current methodological approaches used to solve the global policy issue that you have selected.

The following critical elements will be addressed in this submission:

1. Research Methods

a. Analyze the methodological approaches for the strengths and weaknesses of the current methods used to solve the contemporary global policy issue you have chosen. Use examples from the peer-reviewed articles you identified in Milestone Three to substantiate claims.

b. Determine which research method is most effective in addressing the problem that you have identified. Use examples from the peer-reviewed articles you identified in Module Three to substantiate claims.
