1.4 - Discussion: Aviation Safety Incident

Research an Aviation Safety related incident. It could be anything from a well-publicized catastrophic accident to a known maintenance issue (e.g. stress-corrosion cracking of a wing spar). Feel free to use an example you are personally aware of or even perhaps an incident you were involved with.

Post a relevant thought on your topic. Make it relevant and conversational. As appropriate, compare and contrast structural and mechanical design factors contributing to the incident. Evaluate how aerodynamic forces may have contributed as well.

Reply to two of your classmates' posts. Include your thoughts on the topic, as well as a relevant question you would like your classmate to further research and report on. If someone has already replied to the post, find a different post which does not yet have a reply/question. Once everyone has a reply/question, then look for a classmate that only has one reply. This will ensure responses and questions are evenly distributed between your classmates.

 Your initial post is due by the fourth day of the module week. Your two replies (with questions) must be completed by the end of the module week.
