7.3 - Discussion: GA Aircraft and Data Recorders

Answer the following questions in this discussion forum from the course material and any other credible material used, along with any additional questions your instructor may post.

Consider that many general aviation aircraft now have glass cockpits with no impact resistant data recorders.

Using cause and effect relationship whenever possible;  

1.      Explain the challenges of reading broken instruments.

2.      Evaluate your observations from the presentations and course material on instruments and switches. Do they "capture" what you might be looking for?

1.      Briefly explain the differences and capabilities between various data capture systems.

2.      Should personal use aircraft be required to have some form of flight data recorders?
