Formula for calculating the difference between squares

This is a really cool formula I thought up in middle school. The whole basis is on those crappy problems where you can't use a calculator and you have to find the answer to some ridiculous problem like 3781² - 2763². Did any of your teachers do that to you? Because mine did. (Honestly, maybe sometimes they just wanted us to suffer through that horribly long multiplication process. Ugh.)
And math competitions did.
So here's this handy, wonderful little trick :)
Even if you don't need it, I think it's pretty cool :D
