Persuasive Practice Speech Peer Review 

It's time to record a practice speech!  I encourage you all to really practice your speech all the way through several times before recording your video.  Many of the informative were not extemporaneous, but instead read to the audience.  Reading your speech shows a lack of rhetorical awareness, and will hurt your score.  The rest of the aspects of the speeches were strong overall.  I'd love to end the semester on a really strong note and give everyone A's!  All that takes is a little extra time to allow for practice and preparation!

For this assignment you will:

1.    Look carefully over the rubric Links to an external site.for this speech

2.    Record yourself giving your practice speech

3.    Upload your video to YouTube

4.    Set your privacy to "unlisted" or "public."

5.    Copy and paste your link in the text-box for the assignment

6.    Write a few sentences out for your peers letting them know what your biggest concerns are about your speech.

7.    Your video assignment is due Sunday by 11:59pm.

For Your Two Responses:

In the wee hours of Monday morning, you will be  assigned two peers to review.  Your responses are due Monday by 11:59.  Your responses to your peers should:

1.    Address their concern that they wrote in their post.

2.    Address specific concepts of the rubric Links to an external site.--tell them at least 2 things they did really well and at least 2 things you think they could work on to make the speech even better on speech day.
