Final Draft Introduction Speech Outline

Last week you created a rough draft of your Introduction Speech outline and got feedback on it.  You need to upload your revised, final draft of your Introduction Speech Outline as a Word or Google Doc or a PDF file (no Macintosh Pages; Canvas is not compatible with Macintosh Pages) here before your speech session starts.  This is important because I actually need to be able to view your outline as you are giving your speech.

Outline directions:

Your outline should be double spaced and written in 12 point Times New Roman font.**Note our first outline will not be a full sentence outline.

·         Start with name, topic, general purpose, and specific purpose.

·         For the introduction section of your outline, write out your attention grabber, followed by your thesis statement, then your preview, and a transition.

·         Main points will be listed in roman numerals (I. II. III.)

·         Subpoints will be listed in upper case letters (A. B. C. etc)

·         Demonstration will be listed in numbers (1. 2. 3. 4. Etc)

·         Write your transitions in between all three parts of your speech (intro, body, conclusion) as well as between each of your main points.

·         For your conclusion section of your outline, write out your restatement of your thesis statement and your review of your main points.
