Learners are expected:

• to describe one's neighborhood using previously learned and new vocabulary and appropriate grammatical structures.

Discussion Requirements:

Part 1

• Discussion Guidelines: original post is due on THURSDAY by 11:59 PM EST and two or more replies to others are due on SUNDAY by 11:59 PM.

• Write a minimum of 8 sentences in Spanish (how to add accents)

• Select and describe three places from your hometown or city that you visit frequently other than work (see example below)

• Answer the following question:

o Where do you go and why?

o What is your favorite place to go?

o What are some landmarks in your neighborhood?

o Are there any special activities or festivities during the year? 

• Respond to two or more other individuals (replies should stimulate and encourage further discussion. You may ask questions to promote further discussion). 

• Reply with at least 5 complete sentences in Spanish.

• Review "Common Pitfalls" in Spanish before Cumulative Review in Week 8.

Ejemplo:

Voy al supermercado dos veces cada semana para comprar pescado y frutas. Está cerca de mi casa. Me gusta ir al cine una vez cada mes. Manejo 10 minutos para llegar al teatro. También visito a mis amigas para jugar naipes o para tomar un café. Viven muy cerca. Camino a sus casas. La farmacia está al centro de mi vecindario. Hay muchas personas allí que compran sus medicamentos. Para la Navidad, hay desfiles en el centro. Tiene un gran árbol con muchas luces.
