Learners are expected:

•             to describe and discuss the life and achievements of a famous person from a Spanish-speaking country.

•             to appropriately use verb SER & ESTAR to describe physical characteristics and personality traits.

Discussion Requirements:

Part 1:

•             Discussion Guidelines: original post is due on THURSDAY by 11:59 PM EST and two or more replies to others are due on SUNDAY by 11:59 PM.

•             Answer the following questions with complete sentences in Spanish (see example below)

o             ¿De dónde eres?

o             ¿Cómo eres? (en términos de tu apariencia física o tu personalidad)

o             ¿Cómo son los miembros de tu familia? (en términos de su apariencia física o su personalidad) (Describe at least 3 family members)

Part 2

•             Write a minimum of 15 sentences in English

•             Each person will research one famous person from a Spanish-speaking country (credit will not be given to repeated posts of the same person.)

•             Put the name of your selection in the subject of your discussion (post early)

•             Select a famous person (artist, architect, musician, political figure, military leader, etc.)

•             Add images, sounds, or videos of maps, people, places, etc.

•             In your post, include:

o             The reason for your choice

o             The person's accomplishments and their impact on society

o             The individual's physical features and personality characteristics

o             You may present your famous person using different presentational tools to provide a more visual representation. Presentational tools can include PowerPoint, Smore, Adobe Spark, Beautiful.Ai, or another of your choice.

•             Cite all sources used at the bottom of your post.

•             Respond to two or more other individuals (replies should stimulate and encourage further discussion. You may ask questions to promote further discussion).

•             Reply with at least 5 complete sentences in English.
