Discussion: Water Pollution, Water Shortage, and the Regulating Policies
Water pollution and water accessibility are
complex issues with many different factors at play. In both cases, however,
human activity plays a big role in contributing to the issue. Discuss how human
activity can impact water, using examples from the lab, your textbook readings,
and your research to support your response. Consider the impact on water in
general and in your community.
Then, in your post, answer the following:
How are the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act regulating these
human activities in relation to water pollution or water accessibility,
respectively? Why do you believe the acts are necessary based on your research
and experience in the lab? Use specific examples from the acts to support your
response. Make sure to cite and reference your points, as needed.
In your response posts, discuss whether the
issues your peer discussed have the same impact in your community. Do you agree
with your peers' thoughts on the policy that regulates those water issues?
