2.   Request a copy of Billy Sunday’s “Extracts from Sermons” (Chapter 12) from Elijah P. Brown’s The Real Billy Sunday from Off Campus Library Services (or call at, 800-521-1848).

a.   They will send a scanned copy of the chapter within 24 hours, excluding Sunday/holidays.

3.   Read the excerpts of Billy Sunday’s sermons in “Extracts from Sermons,” pages 122-136. 

4.   After reading the extracts, answer the following questions.

5.   You may consider the following questions in your response:

a.   What are some of the themes discussed in Sunday’s sermons? 

b.   What are your impressions of Sunday’s preaching style? 

c.   Why do you think Sunday was so popular – why was his ministry so effective? 

d.   How would Rev. Sunday’s sermons be relevant and impact Americans then and today?

6.   Type the question and give the answer to each in a separate paragraph.  You should write a minimum of 200-words for this assignment.

7.   Please check for grammatical mistakes before submitting your paper.

8.   When you’ve completed your assignment, save a copy for yourself and submit a copy to your instructor using the Assignment submission folder by the end of the workshop.
