1.3 Discussion: PowerPoint Autobiography

Before posting, please make sure you have reviewed the Workshop 1.3 Discussion: PowerPoint Autobiography page.

1.   Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.

2.   Create a PowerPoint presentation responding to the following:

a.   Share personal information about yourself – you might include information about your family, job, where you live, where you’re from, hobbies, etc. 

b.   Describe your past educational experiences – previous collegiate studies, technical or professional training, etc. 

c.   Why are you pursuing this degree program – how will a degree help you personally and professionally?

d.   Why did you choose Indiana Wesleyan University?

3.   Your PowerPoint presentation should have a minimum of six content slides and a title page slide (total of seven slides) and should also include pictures (include at least one of yourself), images or illustrations - be creative!  Also, proofread your slides for grammatical errors. 

4.   Navigate to the Discussion page and post your PowerPoint presentation by the end of the fourth day of the workshop.  

5.   Read and respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings by the end of the workshop.  You are encouraged to read all of your classmates’ presentations in order to get to know them better, even if you don’t respond to each presentation.
