Evaluating Experience Through Motivation Theories

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, review the following:

·         Why Leaders Need to Embrace Employee Motivation (Links to an external site.) and

·         TedTalks: Dan Pink—The surprising science of motivation (Links to an external site.)

This assignment provides you with an opportunity to evaluate your own experiences in a current or former workplace using theories of motivation.

In your paper,

·         Identify a situation in which you found yourself less than motivated to cooperate or be productive.

·         Analyze the root cause(s) of your lack of motivation.

·         Explain what could have been changed to help better motivate you and/or others.

The Evaluating Experience Through Motivation Theories paper

·         Must be two to three double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA Style (Links to an external site.) as outlined in the Writing Center’s APA Formatting for Microsoft Word (Links to an external site.).

·         Must utilize academic voice. See the Academic Voice (Links to an external site.) resource for additional guidance.

·         Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.

·         Must use at least one scholarly source in addition to the assigned weekly reading.
