Now that you have determined in Week 2 the chosen genre of your
book and the mood you wish your cover to convey, it is time to begin the actual
design.

Draw a sketch of how
you envision the cover to look, keeping in mind visual hierarchy. If possible,
use the rule of thirds to emphasize the hierarchy.

Find at least one
image that you intend to use for the cover images. It should be from a
royalty-free stock image site, such as Pexels (Links
to an external site.), Pixabay (Links
to an external site.), or Unsplash (Links
to an external site.). You are also welcome to use your own
illustrations or photographs.

Determine a palette
(color scheme) for your book cover. Go to Adobe Color (Links to an external site.) to find a background color that suits
your image, and either a complementary color for the text or one in a triad. Be
sure that they fit the genre and mood you wish to convey.
· Add the sketch, image(s), and palette to the creative brief that you submitted in Week 2. This is your deliverable for this week.
