W10: Wrap-Up

How did you like graphing the sine and cosine functions? You will notice that they are exactly the same only shifted 90 degrees. The other trigonometric functions are also similar in shape.

This past week you should have been working on understand how the six trigonometric graphs look in Sections 5.5 - 5.8.

Just a quick check-

·         Are you able to graph all six trigonometric functions?

·         Can you graph a function that has changed in amplitude or period?

·         Can you find the maximum and minimum values of a function?

·         Are you able to graph a function that has a phase shift?

·         Can you identify a trigonometric graph from its function?

·         Are you able to graph and evaluate inverse trigonometric functions?

·         Can you apply the Composite to a trigonometric function?

Next week you will be starting to look at trigonometric identities, including simplifying, proving and also solving trigonometric equations.
