2.2 Organisationintroduction
Abbeyfield Paisley is a cutting-edge structure situated on its grounds in Paisley, Scotland. For nearly two decades, Abbeyfield has provided homes for senior persons in Renfrewshire, Paisley and the surrounding area. A volunteer group manages the property, and their diverse skill set ensures that renters receive consistently high-quality service. At Abbeyfield Paisley, the health and well-being of our residents is our top focus. Abbeyfield works with medical services, social work departments, care commissions, and other regulatory agencies to achieve this purpose. The Abbeyfield manager will assist in any way he can if any of these services are requested (House, 2021).
2.3 Scope
We chose this organisation because older people are a country's valuable asset. They have contributed back to the country and the people throughout their lives by giving their knowledge, expertise, and wisdom. As a result, supporting those in need is a noble pursuit. Abbeyfield House was chosen as a charity recipient because it provides the finest possible quality of life for senior citizens. Their healthcare facilities are magnificent, and the residents receive excellent medical attention. Another important factor in choosing the Abbeyfield residence was the ability to help and support older adults with dementia and other dementia-related illnesses (Care homes, 2021). It is the objective of this project to give the attendees awareness about the senior citizen and Abbeyfield home goodwill in the society. Our initiatives' success rate can be calculated using key performance indicators that we have in place. The first step is to properly plan and budget. This event will not be a success until all 500 tickets are sold. Second, we're doing a full risk assessment for this project. 3.1 Overallpurpose
This project's goal is to use a football game to present an overview of Abbeyfield's charitable mission and to raise money for the home's elderly residents. The purpose of this project is to get charity for the old age people. Old age people are the assets for the nations. They have served the country through their experiences and knowledge. That is why, at the time when they need help, young generations must stand for them. Another reasonfor doing this type of project is to spread awareness among the people that their contribution to the organisationsthatcompletelyrun-oncharitywouldbebeneficialfortheneedypeople.Abbeyfield isfamousforprovidingthebestfacilitiestotheoldagepeopleandthisorganisationisalsofamous for giving good health facilities to them. That is why my team has decided to choose this Abbeyfield House. Further, this project will help us to learn team management, risk management and project management. In the end, in the part of life, it will help us to do such types of projects for the good cause. My team members can plan to execute such projects with a large number of audience to collect more charity funds for the goodcause.
3.2 Currentbusiness
For the Abbeyfield home, we're now organising a football tournament. The situation in Corona poses a variety of challenges. We need to stick to our budget, locate sponsors, and make sure the event is a big success for everyone involved. On the other hand, a negative trend is a rise in the number of retirement communities in major cities. This is undoubtedly attributable to young people relocating from rural to urban areas in quest of better educational opportunities, higher- paying employment, and a better quality of life. While the younger generation has no problem leavingtheirparents'homesandadaptingtonewlifestyles, theelderlychoosestostaybecausethe area holds sentimental value. Many children, especially those who have health problems of their own, are unable to care for their ageing parents. A generational divide may make it difficult for seniors to get along with their daughters-in-law and grandkids. Many of the bedridden elderly parents admitted to nursing homes are over the age of 65 (DSouza, 2021). By 2050, the UK will have 3.7 million individuals over the age of 85, up from 1.6 million in 2020 and 2.1 million in 2030,asthepost-warbabyboomers reachtheirgoldenyears.Thenumberofnewcarehomes and bedsbeingbuiltbynon-profitsisoutpacingthegrowthintheelderlypopulation.Clearly,wemust
work to strengthen geriatric chaplaincy services (Knight frank, 2020). This is the reason to select sector the help old aged needy people of the society. As we have seen in the facts and figure that the trend is increasing, that is why there is urgent need to spread awareness in the people to do more and more charity for the old age home.
