of service to others whether on a personal, local, national, or global level
with ethical and socially responsible behavior also being characteristics of
responsible citizenship. Southwestern College (2016) also refers to
“leadership through service in a world without boundaries” (para. 1) in its
vision.
Recognizing this common connection of service, in this unit, you
will explore responsible citizenship from the perspectives
of followership and leadership.
