7.3 Elevator Pitch Preparation

ABOUT THIS ACTIVITY

In the previous activity, What is an Elevator Pitch? you learned the process for crafting an elevator pitch. Use that process to craft your own elevator pitch (75–150 words) and then share a draft with your peers for feedback. You will be submitting an elevator pitch in the next activity for a specific company (see Elevator Pitch Activity), so feel free to read ahead of that assignment and share a draft of that pitch in this space.

For additional assistance, you can use this Pitch Generator (Links to an external site.) as a helpful guide for flow and timing, and consider watching some of the winners of the Monfort College of Business’ Yearly Elevator Pitch Contest  (Links to an external site.)to see how other students present their brand.

YOUR TASK

Create your initial post:

1.    Post a draft of your elevator pitch.

2.    If there are specific areas that you want your peers to review and provide feedback on, indicate in your initial post.

Provide feedback:

Review at least two of your peers’ elevator pitches and provide feedback to help them improve and/or identify the strengths of their pitch. Offer suggestions where appropriate. Try to provide feedback to peers that not yet received feedback so that everyone can benefit.
