For this discussion, you will work in groups to answer the questions.

In a video game, airplanes move from left to right along the path described by  y=2+1x. They can shoot rockets tangent to the direction of flight at targets on the x-axis.

• Where will a rocket fired from  (1,3) hit the target?

• Where will a rocket fired from  (2,2.5) hit the target?

• Where will a rocket fired from  (2.5,2.4) hit the target?

• Where will a rocket fired from  (4,2.25) hit the target?

Post the answers to the questions above, including a demonstration of the mathematical work you used to reach the answer.

Submit your initial post by the fourth day of the module week.

After you have completed your post, compare and contrast your work to that of your classmates. Engage in a dialogue with your group, addressing one or more of the following areas:

Your instructor is looking for your explanations and how you approached the problem even more so than having the correct solution. Of course, getting the correct answer is also desirable!
