Fire Extinguisher PowerPoint and Video

Locate a portable fire extinguisher in your place of business, your home, or your fire apparatus. For this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation and video that discusses the classifications, rating system, placement, use, maintenance, and testing of portable fire extinguishers. Make sure your presentation includes the items listed below.

1. Discuss the five portable extinguisher classifications.

2. Explain the portable extinguisher rating system.

3. Outline the placement of portable extinguishers (including mounting requirements).

4. Explain fire extinguisher operation and use.

5. Review extinguisher maintenance and testing requirements.

In addition to the PowerPoint presentation, you must create a 3–5-minute video that discusses at least three of the five items listed above and how they work together to make portable extinguishers effective. The video can be embedded into the PowerPoint or provide the link by uploading into YouTube.

Support your assignment with at least two sources from reputable portable fire extinguisher sources. All information from outside sources used must be referenced and cited according to APA-Style guidelines.

Include at least two graphics to support the information in your presentation. Your presentation must be a minimum of seven slides, not counting the title and reference slides.
