ANT 111  Week 1 Discussion 2 | Colorado Community College Online

Overview

These are both important topics to students and faculty as the lack of knowledge about plagiarism, and any misunderstandings regarding it, can lead to severe penalties to the offending party and a lot of unpleasantness to all concerned. Much of the same can be said about planning as well, thus these topics are to be addressed in this discussion as a way to prepare students for a successful semester.

An act of plagiarism can occur intentionally, but it is important to realize that it can also be unintentional. Unintentional plagiarism provides no valid excuse for doing so due to the information and guidance available to students as well as the tools provided to detect such instances. Did you know you can plagiarize yourself?

Any successful person knows that one of the keys to optimal performance is planning, and along with that comes time management. Create a strategy to successfully complete this course. Be aware of your strengths and weaknesses and allot yourself the appropriate amount of time needed to complete each task. Always be planning ahead and allow for unseen circumstances like internet outages, computer malfunctions, sick babies, and long hours at work!
