#4 Behaviors: Eating, Drinking, Sleeping and Emotion
In this module we are focusing on the physiological bases of our
everyday behaviors of eating some type of food, drinking some type of liquid,
getting some amount of sleeping and feeling and expressing some level of
emotions. These everyday behaviors that we do are central to our survival and
psychological well-being.
In this module discussion, reflect on what you have learned from
the module text book readings and videos.
Please make sure you have read the assigned
chapters before completing this assignment. There are also a number of
videos for you to view. The discussion assignment is your opportunity to demonstrate the
depth of your knowledge.
For this Discussion, please answer the
following questions in each section:
(A) INGESTIVE BEHAVIOR – EATING AND DRINKING
1. Pick one thing that really
stood out to you from the readings on ingestive behaviors and/or introductory
video on eating. Explain it.
2. Share one thing that you
will change about your personal behavior around eating and/or drinking.
(B) EMOTION - FEELING, EXPRESSING,
COMMUNICATING WITH OTHERS
1. Pick one thing that really
stood out to you from the chapter readings, and/or case study, and/or the
videos on compassion and altruistic behavior. Explain it.
2. Share one thing that you
will change about your personal behavior regarding your emotions of feeling,
expressing and communicating with others.
(C) SLEEP
1. For about a Week, journal your daily hours
of sleep, mental alertness, emotions. If you want you can use the
