Module 5 Discussion 1: Draft Presentation and Peer Feedback

 

In Chapter 13 we learned that when proofreading our work, we should ask for assistance. Often another set of eyes will discover errors that were overlooked. In this discussion you will post presentation drafts and receive feedback from your classmates.

Instructions

This is a two-part; three-post discussion. This discussion is a peer review.

Presentation Draft and Final

1.  Draft: Submit your draft PowerPoint slides only for review and peer feedback. They should be at least 90% complete.  Do not post your research paper, just your presentation slides only.

2.  Peer Responses: Post at least two substantive peer responses.

o    Bad News/Constructive Feedback: Utilize the indirect method of writing bad news we learned in Chapter 10 to deliver constructive/negative feedback to one classmate. Offer ideas on how your classmate could improve his/her presentation.

o    Good News/Positive Feedback: Provide positive feedback to the same or different classmate. Be sure your comments are substantive/meaningful. Non-value-added statements (e.g., "Good job", "I can't find anything wrong") will not count as a substantive peer reply.

3.  Presentation Final: After receiving feedback from this discussion, make the recommended changes and submit your PowerPoint with video narration in the Module 5 Assignment folder along with your Final research Paper by the due date listed in the Course Schedule, for grading.
