Consumers are starting to play a significant role in their medical care. Even before Electronic Health Records became part of the HITECH Act, consumers readily searched for medical information on the Internet. As medical providers transition to electronic medical records (EMRs), patients are often provided portals to access their own health information. In addition, the introduction of wearable technology provided by a medical provider or purchased by the consumer has increased the amount of data available for study. Based on your unit materials, other library research and/or professional sites online, answer the following with support:

·         What impact has wearable technology had on the average patient?
