Getting to Know Each Other

Goal

Communication, by definition, takes place between people. In a communication course, more than any other, building community and rapport is an important component of the course. This initial discussion is designed to provide a space for us to get to know one another, to build common goals, and to help us create a collegial work environment for exploring the topics of economics.

I've told you a little about myself, now it is your turn! Please tell us a little about you. Here are a few questions I want you to answer.  Please do your best to answer all questions using your best, college-essay style writing. 

1.     Why are you taking this class?

2.     Have you taken an online course before? 

3.     Which "Readiness" Tutorial did you complete? What is one thing you learned from the tutorial that you can share with the class? 

4.     What interests you about Economics?

5.     What interests you about Microeconomics in particular?

6.     What is something unique about you that you would like to share? NOTE: Initial Posts will receive full credit if all questions are addressed and elements in the discussion rubric are followed.  Responses to peers will receive full credit if main elements of initial posts are referred to or addressed.
