Course Project
Note: Be prepared to provide a 10 minute presentation
regarding your project to the class on Monday, May 13. This presentation
should include 3 to 8 PowerPoint slides.
Each student will take an operations management/business
situation and apply at least three of the operations tools discussed during the
course (be sure to use only one organization for your applications). In
addition, your project should include at least one quantitatively based operations
management tool (i.e. MRP analysis).
These projects should illustrate a masters level/application
based knowledge of the material and how it applies in a business environment.
Projects might include an application of JIT, quality control, MRP/ERP, project
management, master scheduling, etc. As part of this project, you will
need to provide a copy of your back up documents/data extracted from the
situation you are working in (if you cannot provide this backup
please find another project). In addition, it should be an original
project developed by each student that addresses a personal or business
decision with at least two of the techniques we have used in our course.
Submit as a single Word or Excel file.
