ENG 101 Week 1 Discussion 1 | Assignment Help | Carrington College

Module 1: Grammar

A mistake that writers often make is writing a sentence fragment. A sentence fragment is a group of words that uses capitalization and punctuation as if it is a complete sentence; however, the group of words is missing one of the three requirements. These three requirements are a subject, a verb, and a complete thought.

First, review Correcting Fragments (Chapter 21, LO2) in your eBook. Then, correct 4 of the 11 fragments in Practice 21.3 in Chapter 21 of your eBook, using one of the methods described in LO2.

Finally, review your classmates' corrections and address any errors you find or corrections you find effective.

Remember that the discussions in this module will be graded together. For more information, please refer to the Discussion Rubric located in Course Documents.

Be sure to complete the Introduce Yourself discussion.
