But seriously, after numerous polls and referendums the citizens of Puerto Rico voted narrowly for statehood. While the course material does a great job highlighting the pros and cons from the perspective of Puerto Rico but says little about pros and cons from the US’s perspective. Using the course material, this video, and other sources share your thoughts on the following questions? Should the US consider Puerto Rico for statehood?
