Presenting Data
We are continuing our
exploration of data presentation tools this week to include tips and strategies
for presenting data. After completing the required readings for this week, and
thinking about your own sample data, identify three different presentation tips
or strategies that you would use. Then use an online tool (think back to the
week 3 forum) to create a 2-3 minute recorded and narrated presentation
including the following from your sample data: find possible outliers (there
may be none, but you will need to show how you determined that), draw a
boxplot, create a scatterplot, and compute the sample correlation r. Be sure to
discuss your three presentation strategies in your recorded presentation. The
presentation will serve as the initial forum response.
Instructions: Your
initial post should be a 2-3 minute presentation. Please respond to at least 1
other student. Responses should be a minimum of 100 words and include direct
questions.
Scoring: Your forum
posts will be evaluated according to the following scale:
0 = no, late, or
inadequate posting
60 = accurate posting
BUT no peer comments
80 = accurate posting
AND meaningful peer comments
100 = accurate posting
with meaningful comments AND exceptional insight into the issue
