 Journal Article Review

Choose one recently published scholarly article on the Criminal Justice System from the Ashford Library. The article should be no older than 10 years and can be on any research topic in the criminal justice system.

To find an article from the Ashford Library, please follow these steps:

In the left navigation of the course website, please click on the “Writing Center & Library” tab, then choose “Library” on the next page.

Type into the box, Topics in Social and Criminal Justice system and be sure that both boxes are checked for “Full Text” and “Scholarly/Peer Reviewed.” Then click the search button.

When the list of articles populates the page, scroll down on the left navigation and adjust the search dates to include only the last 10 years. Then go to the top of the page and click the “search” button again.

Choose one article from the list, published in the last 10 years, that is full-text and peer reviewed/scholarly.

Write a short review of the article you chose then explain how it relates to the Criminal Justice System. Also, please describe any Social Justice implications.

Guided Response: Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from the required material(s) and/or other scholarly resources, and properly cite any references. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts. Find someone who chose a different article than you. Explain how you agree or disagree with their point of view. Responses to your peers should be at least 100 words in length. Remember that this is a discussion.
